Fruit-Walk
Today was a trying day, though I have to admit it was far less trying than the previous two days. (I also have to admit to myself that despite how trying I might view my day, I just had a friend return from lands that see sometimes terrible poverty, so really by claiming that I had a trying day… well that makes me kind of an ass – but I’m working on that.)
Anyway, as I was saying… you mix in one job that grates on your nerves because there is nothing to do, through in a micromanaging and seemingly clueless supervisor, and a generally cold start to the day, and you get the start of my day.
Which was why I am glad I came up with the great idea to talk a walk during lunch with nothing but my wallet and my camera (my beautiful, but battle-damaged Nikon D50). After a few blocks, I ended up by this little fruit stand that I often go to and buy fruit for our Liver Transplant Support Groups and decided to buy up some fruit.
(It makes me a little jealous that my friend DeAnn got to enjoy real, fresh fruit from the source while she was in South America.)

I’m sure that there is some ancient Chinese proverb about how walks and fruit make for a peaceful mind. If so, then I second that. A whole half-box of strawberries and several bananas later, and the annoyances of my near-reprehensible supervisor floated away. And I managed to get a good shot for my Project 365(+1).

Yay another post! A brilliant photo as well. Was the leaf just there or did you tweak it to create a break in the pattern?
The leaf was there, which is why I decided to take that particular picture. I liked how the green broke apart the orange in just the right spot and pulled you into that little corner, if only for a moment.
